DRESDEN SWINGS

SATURDAY, 2 SEPTEMBER 2017, 7:30 PM, KULTURPALAST DRESDEN

Nun können wir die so oft gestellte Frage beantworten: Ja, es gibt wieder "Dixieland-Festival" im Kulturpalast!

On 2 September 2017, the 2018 festival season begins with the start of advance ticket sales and, for the first time, a concert in the newly reopened Kulturpalast in Dresden.
After 42 years, we bade farewell to the festival's birthplace in 2012. Forty-five nations presented themselves at the closing concert then - nations that had been guests of the festival over the course of 42 years.
Now, in 2017, the Dixieland caravan will move into the new concert hall. With many ideas and a new concept, the INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL presents a far more immersive musical experience, with jazz at the spatial center. More jazz history will be written here!

Guests can look forward to a program featuring Umbrella Jazzmen, the Blue Wonder Jazzband, the Elb Meadow Ramblers, the Dresden Big Band, Pascal von Wroblewsky and the Wilandes Choir and the Wilandes Choir, under the direction of Helmar Federowski.

Tickets priced from €28.00 to €48.00 are available now online at the SZ ticket service as well as at all Sächsische Zeitung outlets and all ticket pre-sale offices nationwide.
