The INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL Dresden mourns a longtime team member and devoted Dixieland fan
With deep sorrow, the entire team of the INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL bids farewell to Georg Seidemann, who passed away unexpectedly and far too soon. For over four decades, he supported the festival with great dedication and played a significant role in shaping it.
Georg “Sandmann” Seidemann was active in the most important areas – as a driving force, as a reliable supporter behind the scenes, and as an essential part of the festival’s “hard core” team. His commitment extended far beyond the actual festival week and included numerous other events connected to the festival.
In addition to his organizational work, he remained closely connected to the festival as an enthusiastic Dixieland fan. Working professionally for our main sponsor Feldschlößchen AG, he also embodied the close bond between the festival, its partners, and the audience.
With Georg Seidemann, the INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL loses a highly valued colleague whose experience and personality are irreplaceable. In gratitude for his many years of support, we will cherish his memory and extend our sincere sympathy to his family.
