After the winter holidays, the last Carnival parties, and with the days growing ever longer, we are now heading at great pace toward lovely May: in 11 weeks, the 47th INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL 2017 begins in Dresden.
Look forward to 39 bands and soloists from 9 countries, including exciting festival newcomers, audience favorites such as Lamarotte (NL, photo), and old friends: we welcome the band that has traveled the farthest, from the Ural Mountains 2,000 kilometers from Moscow, the “Uralskiy Dixieland.” They took part in the Dresden festival as early as 1986. Their performance back then was so successful that they were in demand all across Europe from then on. Tours followed to Sweden, France, England, Switzerland, and many other countries.
