The new program for 2021
Update 11 June 2020:
Today we have published a new, slightly revised program overview here on the website and as Download published.
News from Thursday, 14 May 2020:
On Sunday it would finally have been time: the “birthday week” of the 50th INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL would have been opened with our traditional event “Dixieland in Family” at Dresden Zoo. But this year, quite a few things are different ...
At the beginning of April, we had to announce with heavy hearts that this year’s Dixieland Festival had been cancelled. We received many expressions of deep regret that no one could celebrate the 50th anniversary with us. All the bands and soloists had already been looking forward to this special May in Dresden, as had our main sponsor Feldschlößchen, our partners and organizers, the City of Dresden ... and of course we as the organizers ourselves.
Our most important concern was now not to let the festival be cancelled altogether for the many visitors with concert tickets, but, if possible, to postpone the entire festival to 2021.
As of today, our complete anniversary program for the 50th INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL in May 2021 is online on our website:
www.dixielandfestival-dresden.com/programm-2021
Despite the missing public holiday (Ascension Day) in next year’s festival week, only two events had to be cancelled. For all other events:
All tickets from this year remain valid for the respective event in May 2021.
A ticket exchange is not required.
For tickets with seat or table reservations, the respective seats also remain unchanged.
You can find much more information about ticketing on our website.
A brief overview of which event from this year will take place in 2021 can be found at
