The new festival season is just around the corner – on Friday, October 24, 2025, the kickoff for the 54th INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL 2026 begins.

• Note: Due to the public holiday “Herrentag,” the Riverboat Shuffle will already take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026

Back again: “Mama Shakers” (F)

Among next year’s programme highlights, we are delighted to welcome the Mama Shakers from France once again. Led by the spirited singer and trumpeter Angela Strandberg, this young band brings the great jazz and Dixie classics of the 1920s and ’30s to our stages with high-energy performances and their very own style. Their unconventional performance, their love of wild early jazz, and not least the musicians’ charismatic stage presence won over the hearts of the Dresden audience on the spot at their festival debut in 2024. With a successful blend of swing, first-rate Dixieland, and authentic original compositions, the Mama Shakers promise more thrilling festival moments in 2026 as well.
