50th INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL 2021 canceled

Due to the current regulations, our festival in May cannot be held anywhere near the planned scope. This sad decision for all of us has now been made. All preparations for this year’s festival were well on track and pretty much on schedule. We regret the restrained approach to combating the pandemic and the unpredictable, opaque prospects for reopening in May, which had to lead to this renewed cancellation. “Make or break” for 46 events at 23 venues with a total of 41 stages — that cannot be organized overnight.

Next year, a worthy 50th anniversary, the 50th INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL, will take place from May 15 to 22, 2022, as closely as possible to the originally planned scope. The announcement of further information about the new 2022 festival program is scheduled for the end of March.

Important to know:
Tickets already purchased will, as was already known from last year, remain valid for the respective event in 2022!
