Löwensaal Dresden:

What a magnificent hall in a bank building through the ages, right in the heart of Dresden: the Deutsche Bank building, opened in 1905, already impressed back then with its skylight atrium, marble staircase, and vault in the basement. Thanks to its steel-frame construction, the building largely survived the bombings of the Second World War unscathed. In 1946 and 1947 it was rebuilt as the Saxon State Bank and remained the only representative building from around the turn of the century preserved in this area. After reunification, Dresdner Bank took over the building and initially renovated the banking hall, foyer, and entrance hall.
After a period of vacancy and several changes of ownership, the building was once again extensively renovated by 2019. Since spring 2020, it has presented itself with the LÖWENSAAL as an attractive event venue.

A special highlight of the Dresden INTERNATIONAL DIXIELAND FESTIVAL are the small but top-class concerts in the Löwensaal. After several renovation phases and a modern conversion, the Tresor now opens its doors for carefully curated events, featuring the original vault door more than one hundred years old, an elegant gallery walkway, and a characterful atmosphere.
